James Caskey, M.D.
Dr. Caskey has been practicing medicine in Lufkin since 1980. He attended The University of Texas at Austin before getting his medical degree from The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. He completed his residency training at The University of Oklahoma Health Science Center and is board certified in Family Medicine. Dr. Caskey and his wife, Ann, have four grown children and five grandchildren.
Angela Hafernick, M.D.
Dr. Hafernick moved back to her hometown of Lufkin in 2013. She graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. In 2010, she received her medical degree from The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. She then completed her residency at Texas A&M Physicians in Bryan, Texas. Dr. Hafernick is board certified in Family Medicine. She and her husband, Brian, have a son and daughter.
David Stephens, M.D.
Dr. Stephens, a native son of Lufkin, started at EFTM in 2023. After earning his degree from Stephen F. Austin State University, Dr. Stephens pursued a medical education at the American University of the Caribbean, with clinical rotations in vibrant Miami. Following this, he completed his Family Residency in Temple, Texas. Beyond his dedication to medicine, Dr. Stephens enjoys spending time of the golf course, cheering for his beloved Cowboys and Astros, and cherishing moments with family. Now back in his hometown, Dr. Stephens is thrilled to serve the community he knows and loves, providing comprehensive healthcare with a personal touch.
Kristina Glass, FNP-C
Kristi Glass is a family nurse practitioner who enjoys taking care of patients of all ages. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Southeast Missouri State University in 2011. She then earned her Master of Science degree from Maryville University in 2019. Kristi moved to East Texas in March of 2021 where she resides locally with her husband, Andy, and her daughter, Cameron.
Amanda Nesbett, FNP-C
Amanda grew up in Lufkin, TX. She joined the East Texas Family team in March of 2022. Amanda received her Bachelors in Nursing from South University. She also received her Master of Science in Nursing- Family Nurse Practitioner from South University. Amanda resides locally with her husband, James, and 2 daughters.
